This weeks Empower Hour was a beautiful reminder that self-care doesn’t need to be big or time-consuming to be powerful.
It was all about embracing the art of slowing down — through breath, simple movement, essential oils, and intentional presence.
We began with a soft opening, a moment to stretch, smell calming lavender, and take a few deep, grounding breaths. It is that simple!
We crafted a dream evening routine — not in a rigid, “perfect” way, but in a way that feels supportive, comforting, and doable.
✨ Here are some ideas we shared for a dream evening routine:
Dim the lights and let soft lighting signal your body it’s time to wind down
Diffuse a calming essential oil like Lavender, Cedarwood, or Frankincense
Put your phone away (even for just 10 minutes) and reconnect with yourself
Try gentle movement or yin stretches to release tension from the day
Keep a calming journal beside your bed and jot down 3 things you’re grateful for and why
Use a grounding roller blend on your wrists and heart
Simply place one hand on your chest, the other on your belly… and breathe
Self Massage
These micro-moments create a ripple effect. When we slow down—even for a breath—we show ourselves we matter. We gift our nervous system calm. And that peace moves outward: into our homes, our relationships, our world.
